KM spoke to ENPEKAB's marketing director CHRISTINE and asked her the following question below. (Read under the picture)

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: How tough of a task do you believe it will be; or won't be for ENPEKAB to establish themselves in the New York market as a popular band....considering there are other bands trying to reach the top of the pile just like you guys?
CHRISTINE: "ENPEKAB understands the difficulties upcoming HMI bands, like us, face and the amount of work we have to put in to establish ourselves in the NY market. We respect the process and are ready to face the challenges ahead of us. As a team, we believe in what we are doing and we won’t stop until we succeed."

A Very Positive attitude in your answer, however if i can give my HMI inputs, this is what I would advise to any NY based Upcoming Group:
1-Remember, It's a Business, treat like you mean Business.
2- The NYC market is No Longer the Ideal territory for a local Band, the NYC market has changed a lot ( it has become a Market that Mostly supports Bands from out of States).
3-Think outside the Box, There a re many corners of the world craving for Konpa, Go find them.
4-Stcik with your sound, don't try to sell yourself by trying to sound like " Sak mache lan lariya" 'cause you won't last doing it..
5- "If you're building and, for some reason, it's not working then really think through your act and what you're doing.
6- Find a way to make your sound more unique and signature 'you'. Pay attention to how your audience is growing and reacting to you.
7-And last, look at some of the marketing tactics used in the HMI and study them and apply them to your business, there are quite a few HMI success stories. ( look into why they are sucessful)
Wishing ENPEKAB all the Best. "Jwe Konpa pou Passion not for Fame".
Thanks KM

Very good thinking and attitude to have. However, it's the amount of work, dedication and motivation that'll put you guys up there and also that everyone be treated equally and the rules and guidelines should be followed by each of them.
