IS ARLY LARIVIERE/NU LOOK taking a major risk with "THIS" move?

Is ARLY LARIVIERE taking a big risk if he accepts to play with GAZZMAN DISIP? Having spoken to a couple of people in the industry; they seem to think so.
NU LOOK right now is seen by many observers as one of the top 2/3 bands in the HMI as of right now. Their popularity level is safe...they are NOT struggling....at least that is the general belief. GAZZMAN DISIP just released a very well received CD praised by a lot of people in the industry, as well as fans.....having said that, that has NOT yet reflected in terms of the group's popularity on the party scene. As they like to say....LI BONEU TOUJOU!
Arly Lariviere still seems to be enjoying what came out of the NU LOOK/KLASS showdown in NYC from a couple of years ago because he is still talking about it (Listen to his song Nu Look's Time on his new CD....TI BAGAY AMAZURA SA RETE POU LONTAN). It is clearly a sense of PRIDE for Lariviere to always be able to bring that KLASS party as some sort of bragging rights and all; which is why many people are asking...including myself...WHY TAKE THE CHANCE TO PLAY A GIG WITH GAZZMAN DISIP; especially if it will no doubt be SEEN or BILLED by many fans/industry people as a SHOWDOWN?
UNLESS ARLY LARIVIERE is absolutely positively sure that GAZZMAN DISIP CAN'T TOUCH NU LOOK...he still needs to understand that GAZZMAN DISIP HAS NOTHING TO LOSE in this showdown. NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE expecting GAZZMAN DISIP to outshine NU LOOK if a party/showdown goes down, and that's why it is a dangerous proposition for Nu Look. If NU LOOK is seen as the best band for the evening...PEOPLE WILL SAY THEY EXPECTED IT because they are more popular than DISIP right now, and they have a bigger catalog of hits. Having said that, IF DISIP JUST SURPRISES EVERYBODY AND EVEN JUST "taps" Nu Look briefly (musically speaking of course); all the talk/praise/publicity will go to THE UNDERDOG Disip because no one expected them to do that.
GAZZMAN DISIP has more of a reason to pull out all the stops for such a party because that is the kind of party that can bring the group back up the HMI ladder RIGHT AWAY....IN 1 NIGHT! The "Internet soldiers", the fans, including the ones that might not be too fond of Arly/Nu Look...are just waiting for Nu Look to slip in order to bash it in their faces...much like the same way the Nu Look fans did it when Klass played with Disip....so they slid their jabs in. NU LOOK is taking a huge gamble; so maybe an irresistible amount of $$$$$ received by the maestro/band can make the decision easier; but it is also the kind of decision that allowed KLASS to ACCEPT to play a party with Nu Look that they did NOT need at the time because they were so far up above the competition before that showdown. KLASS might still be the most popular band in the HMI after the Nu Look showdown; but a sense of pride/ego to the group and fans took a hit without a doubt after that showdown with Nu Look.
I will admit that when the KLASS/NU LOOK party was made public, KLASS was so hot that I thought that they were going to give a lesson to Nu Look...NU LOOK HAD NOTHING TO LOSE BACK THEN...they were HUNGRIER for that show....pretty much THE SAME POSITION THAT DISIP FIND THEMSELVES IN right now as the HUNGRIER/UNDERDOG SIDE who basically will pull out all the stops to make a MAJOR IMPACT when that party goes down.
Will ARLY LARIVIERE and NU LOOK regret it? Will GAZZMAN/DISIP be the ones singing "TI BAGAY SHOWDOWN SA....RETE POU LONTAN" to ARLY and NU LOOK if it's determined that DISIP got the better of Nu Look?
