MIAMI heavyweight radio personality and promoter AJ (Info Tropical), as well as ATLANTA heavyweight promoter CARL TOUJOU SANTIBON had this to say to KM on the demise of CARIMI. Read BELOW the picture!.
*CARL TOUJOU SANTIBON: "That's a hard pill to swallow, the HMI just took 15 steps back. The HMI will NEVER be the same without Carimi in it."
*AJ: "Major lost because there are certain bands who establish themselves as major players in the hmi and build their foundation and their fan base from scratch and compa doesn't have too many bands on that level. There are bands that are working to get to that point, but only a handful that's there so losing Carmi is a major blow.
Now we should work as well as we can to welcome the young upcoming bands with open arms so we can have 10 other bands; that way we don't feel the impact of losing such an established band like Carimi. They were one of the bands who took compas to another level and we don't get to see a Klass/Nulook or Disip/Nu Look party or a tvice/djakout party every day; so CARIMI was one of the compas bands that matched up well with all these other bands for a good party. Now losing them; let's ask ourselves who will replace them with those bal match ups in the HMI."
