T-KLOD talks about KAI..XTASSY & MORE!
_____________
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: What are the advantages that you think you will benefit from in a group like. KAI, compared to your former group
X-Tassy?
T-KLOD: "Well, to be honest i don't think it's fair to compare because of the experience behind both names. Yes Kaï is new, but Richard and Fito aren't, so there are things in the Hmi circuit that they know already, but it still doesn't mean that it will be easier. That being said , i never understood how vital the MANAGEMENT part of the band is, until now. And if i can add more, i think that is the main problem for upcoming bands in general. There is talent, but we are lacking people who can guide these individuals. I am grateful of all my experiences with Xtassy and 5Lan, without them i wouldn't be here. I am also very excited to be working with this new team, and learning from Richard, Fito and Mika, so that one day i can be in a better position to help younger musicians as well."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Being that you sang a song on your former group's CD, can we expect you to do the same on your new group's CD?
T-KLOD: "I don't think it's the best thing for now, yes there will be some features with other artists but the Focus of this album will be to showcase Richard's versatility as a lead singer, remember before we used to get maybe two songs from him per album, so a lot of people still don't know what he is capable of, so a full album with him as the lead will be the best thing for now."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: We notice a new look from you. Is that to illustrate that TI KLOD KAI is different than TI KLOD X-Tassy?
T-KLOD: "Lol, No not at all. Tklod Kaï, tklod Xtassy, tklod 5Lan, tklod KM lol, still the same guy! But you know it comes with the music business, we are always looking for new trends, that's all."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Would it be a fair assessment from fanatics of your former band to say that you bailed out on the group so you could have a MANJE TOU PARE scenario? Can you be labeled as a "PAKAB SOUFRI" musician if they were to say so?
T-KLOD: "Bon Pat, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and i can understand why some would feel like that, it's completely normal, specially if you were not in. That being said i know what i have done, and not one person who is part of the band has said that, so maybe that shows something."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Is it easier being a member of a band compared to being an owner of a band?
T-KLOD: "I think it's subjective. Each title comes with responsibilities, and you just have to execute them. But if by "member of a band" you mean someone who just comes to rehearsals and shows, plugs plays and leaves, i don't know what that's like.... never have...never will."
