KM spoke to PJ GONAIBO of DOZ; who also happens to be the owner of the studio where KLASS is mixing/recording their new CD. He spoke to us about what he heard. Check it out.
PJ: "Bro, get ready for this KLASS cd. You and the fans are going to love it. My engineer Cédric Louis who had worked with Kassav, Tanya St Val, the late Patrick St Eloi to name a few did a heck of job mixing it. I am sure the music and the sound quality will please your ears and Kompa fans.... no doubt."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: What can you tell me about the NEW CD? How different is it from the 1st?
PJ: "lol. Pat, most of the recordings were done at my studio like the first cd and all tracks on this one have been mixed at my studio. This CD is much different. I like the diversity and you can tell Ritchie is not afraid of trying different things while still staying within the roots of kompa.
As you know Ritchie respects, cherishes and appreciates the musical heritage Nemours left for us, so as he steps outside the box to bring something new, he carefully keeps the original core of kompas intact. Bro this dude, he is a genious."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Do u expect this CD to have the same impact as the first one?
PJ: "Actually, considering what's already out there I strongly believe this one may have a bigger impact than the previous one. Please note I am speaking as singer/producer and studio owner but the fans remain the ultimate judge."
