We spoke to DISIP manager/owner PATRICK FABRE asking him the following below.....

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: With the release of those 2 songs "SAN MANTI" and "HEARTBREAK & MISERY"; with the response being mostly positive so far; was it a risk that you took by releasing 2 songs that most people would NOT associate with GAZZMAN or DISIP in terms of MUSICAL STYLE? You basically hit them with something they did NOT expect.
PATRICK FABRE: "We feel confident about the product and we knew all along that it was the right way to go. Originally Gazzman wanted to go with HEARTBREAK and KLERE YO; whereas I wanted to go with HEARTBREAK and SAN MANTI. I explained to GAZZMAN why it was in our best interest to go with SAN MANTI over KLERE YO; and he agreed.

We felt that the message in SAN MANTI would connect quicker with the majority of the fans, whether you are a die hard GAZZMAN fan or die hard DISIP fan. We wanted a song that the majority of people could relate to, especially with what's going on in Haiti right now; so that was the thinking behind that. We wanted to present them with something different. I never thought that we were taking a risk because of the confidence that we had in the 2 songs that we released; just like we have for all the songs on the upcoming CD."

Kinda hard to base whether this was the right move since Klere Yo hasn't been heard yet...although diSip is getting some much needed shine with two good tracks that were just released....that alone will not put back in the top ranks...and if these 2 songs are the best the album has to offer...it will definitely be a tough climb.
