JERSEY PROMOTER ROCKY: WHY I CHANGED NU LOOK/DJAKOUT PARTY!
__________________________________________
We asked Jersey promoter ROCKY why he changed the NU LOOK/DJAKOUT party from a Friday to a Sunday of that same week...and why it is only 1 band playing now. Read below.
ROCKY: "There is another party on that Friday with Klass. Originally I asked THAT promoter if he wanted to do a KLASS/DJAKOUT so that we could just do 1 party instead of splitting the crowd on that same weekend with 2 different parties. He turned me down, and told me that DJAKOUT PA KANPE SOU ANYIN, and that he did not need them. I said ok, and from there, I had decided that I would do a DJAKOUT/HARMONIK instead.
My team and I decided to switch it and do a NU LOOK/DJAKOUT on that Friday instead. After speaking to Nu Look maestro Arly Lariviere, whom I understand received a call from THAT promoter that's doing the Klass on that Friday, not sure what THAT promoter told Arly; we all thought that it would be best to switch OUR party to Sunday instead of doing it on the same day (Friday) as the Klass party. I have a lot of respect for Klass, and I love what they are doing, and I also wanted to give the fans to have the opportunity to have different options on different days.
DJAKOUT is no longer part of the lineup because it makes no sense for them to just come to the U.S for that one party. When I originally got DJAKOUT for this party, they were supposed to come to Boston as well...but that was cancelled by Junior de Boston, so we figured that it makes more sense to just do NU LOOK by themselves on that Sunday Mother's Day. The fans will also get the chance to win a car at my party."
