Kreyòl La denies rumors regarding its alleged involvement in a ‘’plot’’ against Klass
Port-au-Prince, August 27, 2016. - On Sunday, August 21st, 2016, Esquina Latina in Petion-ville was the host of a memorable night of music featuring Kreyòl la and Klass. As we all know, Ti Joe Zeny has a great sense of humor on stage, which is like his trademark. That night, he made some funny jokes about a couple of Konpa singers including Ederse ‘’Pipo’’ Stanis from Klass, without wishing to be the least controversial or hurting someone's feeling.
The group was stunned to find out that some ill-intentioned people are attempting to associate that moment of pure pleasure to Pipo’s recent statements saying that four Konpa bands, without naming them, teamed up with the goal of breaking Klass’ ‘’supremacy’’ on the market. According to those outrageous and untrue allegations spreading like wild fire on social networks, Kreyòl la would be among the bands involved in the so-called ‘’plot’’, based only on those jokes.
To make matters worse, they claim that during Kreyol la’s live performance, Ti Joe personally invited Shabba up to the stage to make his controversial speech sparking heated debates. But that is not true at all.
Kreyòl La categorically refutes those allegations that are the furthest thing from what the band and his jovial lead singer stand for. Since being set up, Kreyòl is proud to be among the rarest bands to share the stage with any band regardless of its weight on the market.
In addition, Kreyòl la can take pride not only for its solid fan base but also a jam-packed schedule over the year as a whole, which ranks it among the most requested bands, in good or bad times. Kreyòl la has therefore absolutely no interest to plot against any band, particularly Klass that also actively involves in promoting the Konpa.
Individuals intentionally involved in spreading those rumors are advised to refrain from fuelling the hostilities among the bands that will cause nothing but irreparable damages in the Konpa market.
