There you have it. Carlo in this audio let it all out without venting his obvious disdain for Mickael which I feel would of been warranted if he chose to. How can any of us fan or not, not truly understand what Carlo just admitted in this interview. He has tasted life after CaRiMi and he likes it. Who are we to tell a grown man not to choose a lifestyle that works better for him and is more conducive to a more stable family life.. Work/Life balance is important to a lot of people, should we not respect Carlo's wishes just becuz he happens to be a part of an iconic group that a lot of us miss. I get it, I'm a Carimi fan but I'm also a working mother in corporate America and a wife. What he's saying is not unlike what a lot ppl want. We know damn well as observers to the HMI that you have to be truly passionate, have a lot of patience and thick skinned to have a chance at being successful in the HMI. After hearing Carlo I give him credit for lasting this long. He is lucky to have other options and I'm happy for him. Carlo is Burned out, and now wants to experience new things, so I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Only thing that I will say is that it seems that Mickael did Carlo the favor by quitting bc he released him from the burden of continuing to do something that he wanted to stop but was there out of obligation to his business partners. It seems like Richard was the only one that truly wanted to keep the CaRiMi flame burning.

Great interview Patrick as always and thanks for sharing. Now after I've heard everything that Carlo had to say, to me it came down to one thing and one thing only: this so-called HMI just like a lot of other things that we Haitians do have to be better in other for us to be successful..in other words we have to have better structure in place to make it a better professional environment for our musicians in every way possible: better finances, better shows, better schedules and definitely a better way for the musicians to sell their products (Music, Albums etc.) and I mean even for young upcoming bands/Artists also so that they don't have to really depend on performing every weekend in order to make a living or survive..

We need better promoters and I'm not talking about "Bal organisers" either, but those who really know what a promoter's job really is all about..Se pa moun kap veye okasyon fèt Thanksgiving, Decembre, Valentine, gran vakans oubyen yon Festival pou yap prepare pou yo fon kòb epi that's it.
